Sunday Streets Video.

Duration: Sep 18 2015 to Oct 25 2015

Details: The Berkeley Sunday Streets festival takes place on Sunday, October 18th. A 17-block stretch of Shattuck Avenue will be closed to cars for most of the day and is anticipated to draw more than 40,000 people.

The festival was modeled on an open streets concept that began in Bogotá, Colombia, and has spread to more than 70 U.S. cities. It emphasized community gathering, walking and cycling rather than the more typical street fair model with vendor booths.

Shattuck avenue will be closed from Haste Street to Rose Street between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. and will transform into an open space for activities of all kinds.

Cover the event on MediaPhile for a chance to win a free membership at Berkeley Community Media and have your video and photo's aired on BCMTV Channel 28, Comcast Cable 99 and world-wide on the web!
